How not to choose a logo designer

cheaper sometimes means fake or stolen
Don’t choose just because he’s cheaper.

When a new iPhone costs only $31 and you know it should cost way more than that, you’d think it was fake, or stolen. When I tell you that professional logo design is in the hundreds or thousands of dollars you should think twice when you can get one for $69. Of course not all cheap design studios or designers are copycats like those described here and here, but price will certainly give you an idea how much expertise and work (if any) will go into your logo. Be aware that there are thieves out there and getting charged with IP theft is expensive.

What you should do instead is set aside a budget for your branding, look for designers who can work within that budget, then choose based on experience, education, expertise and other criteria.
